This once was part of the Henry & Beulah Hellands' Farm. They purchased 120 acres in 1937. The farm buildings, which have been torn down, were east of here on County road S. In the early 1940's they put the road in & divided the river property off selling them for around $200.00 a lot. It was named "The Four Pines Addition" because 4 large pines stood where County Road S and 189Th St. meet. The road was a narrow dirt road which had a gate which was opened and shut when going in or out. In 1946 my(R of J&RSeids) parents bought the 1st lot which is near here. We are Henry & Beulah Hellands' granddaughter and her husband.
