Beans & Bugs Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

pezCollector: This cache was originally placed by CTGeoscout more than 10 years ago. About 5 years later, I took it over when he moved away.

Sadly, it's time to say bye to this cache. Stopped by today. Cache is gone as well as most of the blue blazes, making the trails hard to find.

Thankfully, there were no travel bugs lost.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located on a tract of the Middlebury Land Trust.  It is located just outside of Naugatuck on Long Meadow Road, approaching Long Meadow Pond.  There are three different approaches to this cache, but I recommend parking at N41º 29.898 W73º 06.673.  As the name of this cache presents, this cache is loaded with magic BEANS and Travel BUGS.  The original magic beans are long gone.  What we have now is a container filled with those little pills that you drop in warm water and watch for a sponge shape to appear.  Please take only one or two per child.  The travel bugs are for the adults.  Please, with the TB’s, take one and leave one.  If you don’t, the name of the cache is lost.  With the TB’s they can’t be much bigger than 4”.  There are two possible ways to access the cache. I recommend taking the path to the pond and then follow the blue blazed trail to the left that skirts the pond.  The other way will fool you into taking a lot of unnecessary bushwhacking.

Car-Cache-Car: < .5 mile and < 30 minutes.
