You are all welcome to help the Ecorangers celebrate 20K! For this Major Milestone we will be celebrating on a 50 passenger school bus in the morning for 3 hours (10:15am-1:15pm) OR you can celebrate with us in the afternoon at the Badgerland Sportzone from 1:15pm until??? Plenty of caches around to hunt.
Hot Cholocate will be provided at 10:00am. The School bus will be departing from the listed coords at 10:15am and returning at 1:15pm. Celebrating on the bus will consist of games, singing, dancing, eating and drinking. The first 50 cachers who log they want a seat on the bus will get one!
Look for more details to follow as we get closer to the date.
Once we arrive back by 1:15, there will be food available for puchase and drinks. Minors will be allowed in this smoke-free establishment with their parent/s.
We will be playing a game for prizes set up like "Jeopardy," called How Well Do You Know the Ecorangers." Categories will include: States, Milestones, events, and Misc.
In your "will attend," please let us know where you will be celebrating with us...on the bus, in the sports bar, or both. Thanks!
UPDATE: Feb 1 2010. There's room for about 8 more on the bus.
Only those on the bus will be able to hunt the new 21 permanent caches hidden for the event. We have 3 hours to hunt them. You may bring any food/beverages on the bus with the exception of glass containers. Bus boarding will be done according to the number of caches you have hidden and events you have hosted so it looks like Marc will be the first one to board and pick out his seat. When the bus fills up (50), those not on, are able to celebrate with us in the Sports Bar. Trackables will be available for swapping in the Sports Bar once the bus returns.
UPDATE Feb 5, 2010. Free Hot Chocolate from 10:00am-10:15am.
From 1:15pm on, the following is available for purchase.
$5.00 Hot ham sandwich, chips and a pickle.
$5.00 Beef sandwich, chips and a pickle.
Try their Badger Balls as an appetizer (yum yum).
Otherwise you may order off their regular menu.
On the bus activities: Dancing for fun, Singing for fun, “Name that Tune” for prizes.
At the bar activities: Jeopardy (How Well Do You Know the Ecorangers), Guessing Game, Unscramble Worksheet, Brain Teaser Questions. Prizes will be awarded for all bar activities.
UPDATE Feb 9th: I'm glad we got fresh snow to cover up footprints to the new 21 caches. Coords for 12 of them will be given on the bus upon departure. Coords for the last 9 will be given after lunch when the Bar activites (listed above) are completed.
The last 9 are in one huge area so you might want to bring snowshoes, or cross-country skiis if you have them.
Hopefully we can stop as a group to 20,000 (Evil Monkey) hide by gr@nny for those of you who haven't found it yet.
