Geocache Description:

This cache is placed with the permission and at the request of the Green Lake Conference Center. Dawson Prairie was developed for the preservation and exploration of the natural setting of the grounds. Each spring the prairie is burned off. The flowers change regularly through the summer and can be enjoyed by taking several of the mowed walking trails. In late spring and early summer spiderwort and Purple Coneflower are prominent.

Summer birds in the area include Song and Field Sparrows, Orioles, Grosbeaks and Flycatchers and in the evenings Barred and Horned Owls can be heard. On occasion in late winter even a migrating Saw-whet Owl might be heard. In spring and summer please tread lightly.

Maybe exit the cache site in a different direction than you approached to keep from leaving noticeable trails.
