A short walk in the desert and an easy find.
Jimmy's home!
Over the years the desert has become my master as well as my faithful servant, it has brought me good times and bad. Through the years it has given me temporary relief from everyday life; now it seems the temporary relief is no longer enough. I suppose my solitary life has brought me to this point, the solitude and open space suit me well. This unforgiving land where mistakes and failure to plan ahead have cost many their lives is not a place where most would care to be, but for me it is home. The only place that has ever really felt like home. It welcomes me with open arms and embraces me as a mother would a child.
People build walls as well as bridges in their lives. The quiet loneliness of this barren country provides the time to reflect on these things, it strips the soul bare and allows the mind to see. There is no motion, no sound, to distract other than the shimmering heat waves and an occasional dust devil. Though the thoughts it brings are not always pleasant, they are always honest. Fears fade away, replaced by an extraordinary calm. In this empty expanse there is peace.
But now my life is different. Marsha (GG) and Jimmy are back. The desert is still home but now I have someone to share it with me. The many years of loneliness are gone. It is time to discard some of the remnants of my old life and this cache is a perfect place. Take what you like and leave your bad times behind. Take some time here and reflect on your life.
