Geocache Description:

Dunlop Millennium Community Woodland. Look out for muggles. In a double box. Look for the stone.

The Brechna Brae or Braikenheuch, meaning the 'Bracken Crag', about a half from Dunlop, is said to be the site of the death of one of the Cunninghames of Aiket Castle situated nearby, killed by a Montgomerie during the times of the feuds between these families. It had a fine cairn with a rather quirky weather cow - now stolen. See 'Corsehill' on Wikipedia for local history. A recent extension to the site is the Templehouse Wood. It's a great place for walking the dog. Places to park, but do pull close in to the edge. Enjoy.
