This second cache will be quite a bit easier than my little walk around Green Lake, maybe. Once again you start with a graphic, but this time there are not multiple approaches to finding the correct coordinates. There are far too many graduates of the "brute force and ignorance" school of puzzle solutions out there. While I am an admirer of and frequent user of said approach, I feel the subtlety of the Green Lake start was not properly appreciated. So this time, while some brute force and ignorance might be helpful or even necessary, a bit of subtlety will be essential, as well. There's just something about that picture...
The published coordinates are not correct, though they will be necessary in solving the puzzle. You may find it easier to calculate using UTM coordinates. If you go Googling for clues, Leonardo of Pisa will help you more than Roger of Oxford. Correctly calculated final coordinates are very accurate, but that might not help you much when you get to the cache site.
You won't need to leave pavement at any time. You won't need to walk long distances, climb mountains, ladders, or trees, or even crawl on your belly.
Remove the cache from its hiding place slowly and carefully. It will require equal care in opening, closing and re-hiding it. I will not countenance brutishness in this activity.
16 April Update. Now pay attention, children. Due to some ham-fisted Neanderthal cachers that don't heed the above admonition, I have color coded the container and its top. Since this is geocaching and not Solitaire, black goes on black and red goes on red.
