The Nebraska 4-H GC - Sioux County is located in a beautiful city
park complete with artisian well, picnic shelters, stream, trees,
wildlife, etc. This is not your usual city park as it is 3.75 miles
as the crow flies from the center of Harrison, NE. It is a nice
<10 mile drive on country roads - Sowbelly Canyon Road to be
specific.
The cache is an ammo box decorated with geocache stickers. Inside
are many different items related to the Sioux County 4-H program.
Please leave a message in the notebook and tell us about yourself.
The cache survived the fires that burned this area in July and
August 2006. Please be careful of burned trees that may fall or
other hazards created by the fire.

August 24, 2009 by James Bridger (2478 found) 8/24/2009 10:38 Found: Took a shortcut to this one and had to do some stone stepping to get close to ground zero. Wait! Let's not forget that tortuous road into this place--twisting, climbing, and descending as if laid out by a serpent on Ritalin--it was thankfully dry, for it would not be hard to envision the phlegm-like quality of the yellow clay if any precipitation was present. Enjoyed the drive in, spotting some turkeys and deer (and of course a gazillion mourning doves), and only passed one vehicle the entire time. Kind of bushy at ground zero and it's not hard hunting, but why couldn't it have been poison ivy or oak, something I'm inured to, rather than the largest patch of nettle I've ever seen in my life. Couple that with angry and thorny plums--I left scratching and anemic, but I did find the cache. Took the Country Bear TB and DNF pin, leaving a signature card and JB dice game. Thanks for the fun drive and the nice cache.

February 7, 2009 by casperlookers (623 found) 25th of 28 today on a wyo/neb caching day. Had to use 4 wheel drive as it was really sloppy muddy and quite a bit of snow in spots. Would like to come back in the summer and check out this place more. The White Jeep T.B. is not in it as the inventory suggests. TFTC TNSL. Left "Fugly" and "Country Bear" T.B.'s to be moved along.

September 13, 2008 by huskercory (420 found) Was in the area scouting for elk hunting, so decided to stop by.Great little park in the middle of nowhere! Very nice restrooms, etc. Fun road if you like to off-road, but don't advise going down if it has been raining (unless you have 4-wheel drive!). T: St. Andrews golf ball L: Fingernail clippers (all I had on me at the time!)
