I HAVE UPDATED THE COORDS ON THIS CACHE....
I went back to the cache site today & my gpsr got me within
10ft. However, it can be tough to get a good signal. The new coords
were taken from directly above the cache so, unless you can fly
you'll need to walk to the bottom to begin searching.
The original coords are: N39*
43.219 by W91* 21.994 if you choose to use them.
This is the 3rd cache i've placed in this beautiful park. I
really enjoy coming here during my lunch breaks to just sit &
read or watch the river go by. There is plenty of room to play
frisbee or football. If you're into walking, there is a paved
walking path that goes through the woods & then along the river
or if you wish, you can just take a stroll through the park. It's
large enough that it will take you a while to see it all. There is
also a nice play ground for the kids.
Park @ N39* 43.255 W91* 22.025 near the hairpin turn. Walk
straight down the hill to the path into the woods. Be advised that
the path is narrow & has about a 25ft drop off on either side.
Be very attentive to small children! Once at the bottom begin
searching along the bluff that was to your right. The cache is a
white, triangular shaped chip container. You may have problems
maintaining gps lock due to the tree cover & reflections from
the cliff & because the path runs so near to the cliff. Try not
to use the hint because it's a dead give away, but if you do,
please note it in your log.
As I said before, this is a very beautiful park. However, the
cache site is a definite candidate for a cache in trash out effort.
So, please bring a trash bag & take a few cans out with you
when you leave.
God bless!
