Located at Carding Mill Valley owned by The National Trust which is a charity. Extensive area of historic upland heath and part of the Long Mynd with stunning views.
Excellent walking country with much of interest to the naturalist. Entrance is free and there is an information centre, tea room, shop and toilets. Carding Mill Valley can be accessed by train to Church Stretton which is one mile away - there is an NT shuttle bus between the station and the valley at weekends. Parking is free in Church Stretton and at Carding Mill Valley which is pay and display £3.00 per car, free to NT members.
