Geocache Description:

This multi cache is a historical tour around southern Calvert County. Information must be gathered at each site to find the final container, which is within Cove Point Park.

Just about 17 years ago, I moved into Calvert County from the Eastern Shore of Maryland. You would think that in that time that I would have learned a little something about the county I now call "home." This summer I spent time trying to increase my knowledge of Calvert County history. Unfortunately I have only learned by small glimpses. You know those historical markers that are all around the county. In fact, there are close to 30 different markers along various roads in Calvert County. Come with me around southern Calvert County and maybe even learn something.

There are no calculations needed for this cache. At each of the additional waypoints gather the necessary information and simply plug the value into the sample coordinates.

Each of the stops had been provided as an "additional waypoint" that should help with inputing the information into your GPSr. At each location you will be gathering an actual number or a number of times a word or set of words is used. I have tried to order the waypoints into a logical route around and through southern Calvert. Just be careful to substitute the correct values in the right place. By the way, there is a very easy way to complete this cache without using much gasoline. But mark my words, some of you will go way out of your way to complete this cache.
