Geocache Description:

Welcome to Camp CITO!

This year for Earth Week we will be helping to clean up our beloved Brendan Byrne State Forest!

This will be a 2 day event running from 1:00pm until 5:00pm both days. (See also Camp CITO Day 1 GC4XCVN) Please be on time as we will be breaking up into groups after designating clean up areas and will be moving away from the event starting coordinates.

As an added bonus, Groundspeak will be awarding the 2014 CITO Souvenir for attending a CITO event on April 26th or April 27th!
(You will also receive your CITO smiley for either day attended, or two CITO smiley's if you attend both days!)

We will be camping out after the Camp CITO Day 1 event, GC4XCVN, until the conclusion of this Camp CITO Day 2 event. I have reserved Group Site B, so feel free to join us the night before if you'd like!

If you will be joining us for camping or the weenie roast, there is a link to the sign up list in the very first log below. Please bring an item if you can! Thanks!

In order to ensure that I have enough camping spaces reserved, please take this quick survey so that I can capture your plans:

Trash bags, latex gloves and bottled water will be provided for all who attend as well as the food for the Weenie Roast!

There will also be a free drawing for door prizes including unactivated travel tags and CITO geocoins!

Please be prepared to clean up the forest by bringing:

Work Gloves
Your own lunch
A positive attitude

And your camping gear if you will be joining us overnight!

You're will attend logs are appreciated so that I can give the Forest Office an accurate head count. Thank you!

Additional information will be updated on the cache page as we get closer to the event! Stay tuned for more!

**Disclaimer: As with any CITO event, while picking up trash there may be hazards such as broken glass, nails, etc. For your safety, please ensure that you practice good judgement and safe practices while cleaning up any debris. Cleaning up the park is at your own risk, and there is a volunteer liability waiver that has been provided by the park that all participants must sign the day of the event. Please only clean up trash and areas that you are comfortable with. Thank you!**
