This cache is located in the Port Crescent State Park Day Use area. Please observe posted park hours and entry requirements and respect the environment by staying on the designated trails. The container is a magnetic key holder with a log and a scratch off lottery ticket for FTF. Bring your own writing tool. This trail is handicapped accessible and the cache can be retrieved from a wheelchair without having to leave the path.
This series is dedicated to my Mother, Margie, who passed away in 1991 at the age of 87. She experienced much in her life - she drove a Model T, flew with her pilot brother in a 2-seater bi-plane, lived through two World Wars as well as the Korean and Viet Nam wars, lived in a world with no TV or internet, and had a love of the Great Lakes that she passed on to her 5 children. My first family camping trip was at Port Crescent State Park, which is why I wanted to place some caches in her memory here. I hope you will enjoy this park as much as I have over the years. This particular trail was selected because it is handicapped accesssible - be sure to take a few moments to sit and appreciate the beauty of the area.
