The Great Aussie Christmas BBQ 2005 - Riverina Event Cache
thequilts: It was a great time, thanks to all those who attended.
I hope to meet the people who couldnt make it next year.
A hunt for ten caches, each containing the way point to the next cache and a puzzle to complete certainly made it a full afternoon. "Albert" a newly listed cache was specially placed for the event.
Mrs Gopher and Rescue collected prizes for their efforts.
Special thanks to Team horizons and Roostaman (Bidgee Caching)for their efforts in making this a great event, Roosta`s "Wacker Awards" ended a fun day. Merry Christmas.

A christmas BBQ for the whole family close to the centre of the Riverina. This event is a bit different from your normal event cache, at the same time as we hold this, other cachers will be doing the exact same thing in nearly every other state! We will be holding an event for the day that will involve some skill and new way points.
Come and celebrate christmas with your fellow geocachers. There are free BBQs, shelters, toilets, kids play equipment and there might even be a geocache in the area (maybe people might even want to place some more in the area before the event).
We encourage you to come from 11:30am. Bring your own everything, (tables and chairs are available, but if you've room throw some chairs in just in case).
We'll organise a special event for the day, but given that its summer there won't be anything too strenous (like making you climb "The Rock" and back, we are saving this one for later).
Please post a note to say how many will be attending, how many adults and how many kids. remember, kids are more than welcome, it's a family event!
