We finally decided to allow all of the south-central New Mexico and Texas Cachers an opportunity to get together. This event is a potluck (and how can you go wrong with that!). Please bring your own meat as several BBQ grills will be made available, and also a side dish to share. Drinks of your choice are also on you! We are expecting 30 or more people so be prepared.The coordinates are to the main gate at the Dripping Springs area which is east of Las Cruces. This can be easily driven to by taking University Ave east (straight, do not turn off!) or by taking Baylor Canyon road south off of Highway 70. There is $3 fee per car into this area. The large covered group picnic area has been reserved for us. It can be easily found by paying your fee and heading east on the road. Follow the signs to the La Cueva picnic/parking area and look for the only large covered site in the area. This area will be to your left as you head up the road.This is a special natural area, and pets are not welcome. Sorry!We will start the event around noon. This will allow time to eat and then time to enjoy the area and any activities that are planned.We will planning for several small day only caches to be placed for your enjoyment, so bring the GPS with you.Please RSVP so we can determine how many will be attending. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!!!4/22/04 – UPDATED EVENT INFORMATIONThere are going to be a minimum of three day only caches and two new caches that will be posted on the day of the event! Check the website on May 1 for more information on them!! There will also be a special drawing for prizes in the afternoon – both for the kiddos and the big kiddos too!!
