Geocache Description:

Today I changed the difficulty rating to 2 from 1 after all the DNFs even though the cache is still in place. This cache is magnetic and the size of a cigarette filter. It is hidden in plain sight. You can see it without moving anything! Bring a pencil (and your glasses [:)] even the log is tiny!)

Replace the log by tightly rolling it and placing it in the cap not the bottom.

"No other occupation is so vitally important to the human race, nor requires such a wide range of practical and technical knowledge, as farming."
- William H. Miner, 1915

W.H. Miner was born in 1862. His mother died in 1867 and his father died in 1873. An orphan at 10 he went on to become one of the richest men in the US before he died in 1930. In 1903 he and his wife returned to Chazy NY where he had lived with his uncle as a young man.

Chazy today is a small town with some hints of a different past. The Miner Museum in Chazy, The Miner Institute and Heart's Desire nearby are some of the lasting tributes to this couple, their vision and achievements.
