A Scouting Foundation Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Brokenwing: Three strikes and your out. I've placed three different caches here and all have ended up MIA. It's time for someone else to place a cache here, I guess.

Geocache Description:

Cache In - Trash Out! Restricted hours
Bicycles permitted Wading
Restrooms available in park Off-trail Hiking Required
This cache is a replacement for Boy Scout’s Lost Cabin. This one will be much harder to find.

At this cache site you will find the remains of an old Boy Scout Cabin that Mr. Durwood West allowed the scouts to build on his farm. The cabin was dedicated in about 1950 and collapsed in September of 1962 due to a flood. Now, all that remains of the cabin is the foundation.

This park runs generally east west and can be entered from either end. The east end has bathroom facilities and a playground area. There are also some BMX bike trails near the playground and other trails running throughout the park.

BE ADVISED: This cache will not be easy to find. Please don’t tear up the area looking for the cache. Keen observation, not rooting around will yield the best results.

Cache container is pretty small, so bring small stuff only.

This cache was placed by a member of the
