C*C 1000!!!....and Farewell Mystery Cache

Cosmic * Cachers have been caching since December of 2007. They are based here in Iowa, but actually made their first find in Texas. Since then they have cached in 13 different states, have logged over 50 FTF’s, and most recently began a quest to fill in their D/T and Calendar grids with over 70% complete at this point. They also completed the 100 Day Challenge (finishing at 170 days!! ), while enduring an unexpected medical issue. They are consummate cachers with an adventurous spirit and have placed several quality hides. One of their hides (Puppy Luv) is a popular local seed cache that has produced nearly 30 new caches in Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Texas and California. Cosmic*Cachers are also a member of C.A.G.E. (Clinton Area GEocachers) – an informal local geocaching group created to promote and maintain the top caches in this area.

This is a tribute cache commemorating Cosmic*Cachers reaching their 1000th find. You are seeking a standard silver ammo can, representative of this achievement level. This cache is initially loaded with some really good “cosmic” related swag – so be sure to bring the kids for “take something, leave something”. C*C (as they are affectionately known) always enjoy a good puzzle, and have a reputation in this area for putting out some really fun puzzle caches (check out their profile), so of course, this tribute cache needed to symbolize their contributions to the local caching community.
