A nice trail and track for a walk through the bush at night, with a treasure box at the end! You can often see flying foxes around here when the surrounding orchards are in their fruit season.
This cache can only be done at night and you will need a headlight to pick up the various reflectors along the way as they reflect back at you when the light is at eye your level.
Park near the suggested location and find the big trail that will take you to the posted co-ordinates. From there, use your headlamp to scan the surrounding bush for a reflective trail that will lead you through the bush. When you reach three fire tacks in a vertical line, stand right there and use your gps to take a bearing of 240 degrees magnetic for 12 metres. You will then be standing at the rock hide!
This cache is a bit longer than my nearby Rest-a-while night cache and is quite suitable (and lots of fun) for children as long as you have a good light.
