Geocache Description:

Cache is located somewhere within the boundaries of the 147,000 acre Holly Springs National Forest. The roads are gravel so you may want to wait for good weather to hunt. Cache is in a metal ammo box painted dark brown.

In the 1930's the Forest Service took possession of these lands and the local inhabitants moved away. It was once a fairly well populated area, you can still see some of the remnant of these folks who lived here at that time.
