Geocache Description:

Kumla hembygdsgård ligger på åsen strax intill Kumla kyrka.
Här finns en parstuga från 1600-talet, sprutbod, smedja, och flera uthus. Parstugan flyttades hit 1960 från Vad som ligger 7 km från Hembygdsgården.
Gårdsplanen skuggas av en mycket kraftig ek, som med jämna mellanrum måste ansas, för att inte nedfallande torra grenar skall ställa till skada.
Här firas årligen Sveriges nationaldag den 6 juni och det ordnas midsommarfest och trivselafton.
Kumla Hembygdsförening förvaltar och underhåller hembygdsgården på ideell basis.

OBS 120520. Cachen är flyttad en liten bit och lådan är nu small.

Kumla hembygdsgård (old homestead houses) is situated on the ridge near the church of Kumla.
Here you can see a house, in swedish called "parsstuga" from 1600, a fire-engine house, a smithy, and several outhouses. The "parstuga" was moved to this place from Vad, 7 km away in 1960.
The courtyard is shaded by a very big oak which in even intervals must be pruned, to prevent injurys from withered limbs which are falling down.
At Kumla hembygdsgård every year the national day of Sweden 6 juni is celebrated. Midsummer celebration and other nice meetings are hold here.
Kumla hembygdsgård is maneged and maintained by Kumla Hembygdsförening in non-profit-making basis.
