This is a three part milti that travels along WRR 2.
This cache is part of a series intended to showcase Wisconsin's Rustic Roads (WRR). Wisconsin's Legislature established the Rustic Roads program in 1973 to preserve what remains of Wisconsin's scenic, lightly traveled roads.
These caches are usually hidden near the right-of-way so that no bushwhacking is required. Please be respectful of private property and be aware that, although traffic is normally light, there may be no shoulder on which to park. Be sure to keep an especially close eye on children while hunting for the cache.
Wisconsin Rustic Road 2 is in Racine County. WRR 2 travels along Honey Lake Road, Maple Lane and Heritage Road to County Highway D. Continuing north along Maple Drive to WIS 83.
WRR 2 travels under a canopy of trees, this route provides vistas of rolling fields and dairy farms. There is a marsh with waterfowl, muskrat houses and other wildlife in the Wehmhoff Woodland Preserve. There is also a quilt on a barn painting located on Maple Drive.
