Geocache Description:

The above coordinates is not the actual cache location. This cache was place with the Permission of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources

Since the time when motion pictures began a great many outstanding movies have been produced and on the other hand....a lot of swill. Bad scripts, bad acting, bad unoriginal plots and just bad ideas. The idea behind this cache is to leave a bad movie and the finder exchanges it for another bad movie. And the next does the same and so forth. I am more interested in mainstream movies which turned out lousy than I am in the usual staple low-budget baddies like Attack of the Killer Tomatos. I'm going to start out with Cold Creek Manor and I am curious to see what movies pass through my cache container. If you happen to like the movie that is in there then go ahead and take it but PLEASE leave another in it's place.

Since this cache is about bad movies you suffer through two that I have chosen. Cutthroat Island with Geena Davis and The Hot Chick with Rob Schneider. If you follow the listed coordinates you will come to not Cutthroat Island but Smith Island on the Kankakee River. Here's how to find the cache.

During the "Face Waxing" scene in The Hot Chick, Rob Schneider and Anna Faris were both wearing T-Shirts with animals on them. Add the number of letters in both animals together and that equals (A).

In Cutthroat Island, (B) equals the number of paces Geena Davis and Mathew Modine had leftover when they came to the edge of the cliff.

(A) times (B) equals (X) then subtract (X) from 666 to get (Y) and add (X) to 134 to get (Z).

The actual coordinates are:
N 41° 14.(Y)
W088° 03.(Z)

You will be looking for a large Gladware container. Look for the usual geocaching "hide signs".

Update 1/30/06: I moved the container to a different place to make it a little less mugglable. However the new area a little bit more Thorny. I imagine it will be worse in the summer but the best way seems to be to follow the paved bike path about 100 feet then cut into the woods just before the big tree. The new place is about 100 feet at 10 degrees North of the old position. I will be changing the puzzle using two bad movies from 2005 as soon as I can bring myself to watch them. Note the change in the encrypted hint. Good luck.
