HR Alphabet Soup: V is for Virginia Beach Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Frogmen83: Stopped by on this cold day to see if the construction workers had completed there pier project. Unfortunately, they completed it a little too well and had fixed the geocaches hiding spot. After walking around a bit looking for a new spot to hide the cache, I decided it was time to retire this hide. Thanks to all who visited!

Geocache Description:

Where do you hide a cache in Virginia Beach to best describe the city?
How about ON THE BEACH!!

This should be an easy find & retrieve.....except for all the muggles in swimsuits!

Film canister, bring your pen. There is NO need to go under the pier!

The 15th street fishing pier was built in the 1950's and originally extended 1,000 feet into the ocean. Hurricane Gloria ate 250 feet of the pier in 1985 and workers re-extended the pier. Water depth at the end of the pier is 12-14ft. If you wish to sight-see from the pier, the charge is $2.00.
