Yes Virginia, That Mt. Pilot! The one made famous in "the Andy Griffith Show", hence the name. Park in the lower corner of the summit parking lot and follow the split rail fence to the trail head. Take the Blue Blazed Trail also called Grindstone trail. Round trip from your car to the cache is less than 1 mile. There are two other trails here, all with great views. Climbers are a common site on some of the trails. Spetacular views can be found all around and dont miss the summit trail. Please be careful with the children as there are many falling hazards on the "other" side of the fences. Pets are welcome here as well, of course on a leash.
