Cette Eglise a été construite entre 1957 et 1959 selon les plans de l’architecte troyen Michel Marot (Grand prix de Rome en 1954).
Sa construction imposante, disposant d’une ossature de métal et de brique, rentrait à l’époque dans le cadre d’un projet d’urbanisation du quartier.
Cet édifice est sous le vocable de Saint Bruno (Fondateur de l’Ordre des Chartreux et du Monastère de la Grande Chartreuse situé à proximité de Grenoble). Il évoque le souvenir d’un établissement monastique des Chartreux se trouvant dans les environs de Troyes ayant même prêté son nom à ce quartier.

This church was built between 1957 and 1959, based on plans drawn up by Troyes architect Michel Marot (winner of the Grand Prix de Rome in 1954). Its imposing appearance, with underlying metal and brick structure, is evocative of the period, when a major urban development project was underway. This building is dedicated to Saint Bruno (Founder of the Carthusian Order and the Monastery of Grande Chartreuse near Grenoble). It reflects the appearance of a Carthusian monastery in the area surrounding Troyes, from which this district took its name.
