Geocache Description:

This cache is dedicated to all the men and women who have served,or are serving, as the 'Defenders of Freedom' at Grand Forks Air Force Base.

The first coordinates for this cache are posted above. These coordinates will take you to a large aircraft on display outside of Grand Forks Air Force Base. You will need the numbers on the plaques and the aircraft to find the final cache and sign the log.

No part of the cache is on the Air Base or near the fence line. If you think that you need to go on the base or anywhere near the base or its fence line, check your math and try again.

To find the last point, complete the coordinates by answering the following questions, using information found on the plaques and the aircraft.

A = The max weight of the aircraft minus 408,000lbs divided by 10,000lbs
B = The last digit of the aircraft's number.
C = The first digit or the aircraft's number minus the third digit.
D = The max range of the aircraft minus 800 divided by 1000
E = The first digit of the unit mentioned on the memorial marker
F = The second digit of the unit mentioned on the memorial marker

The cache is a small cache with a pencil, a log and enough room for a few coins or other small trade items.
