BACKGROUND:
The Phrase silo mentality seems to have originated during
the Cold War to describe the inward thinking and tunnel vision
common amongst those who manned the US and Russian nuclear missile
silos. The term was later adopted by the business world and became
an overused and often loathed bit of corporate-speak. Loosely
speaking, it describes vertical thinking, or the way in which
people in a large organization tend to think first of the needs of
their departments before the needs of the organization as a
whole.
THE CACHE:
You'll need to employ a bit of vertical thinking yourself to
locate this cache. This hunt is not intended for children,
although they'll likely have fun watching. You'll be looking for a
magnetized pill fob holding a logscroll; bring your own pen to sign
the log. Although the cache site is adjacent to a heavily-traveled
road, you'll be shielded from view when you locate the container.
