Poison Ivy and I took a little Road trip covering a few key cities. We started from Orange County California and went on to San Francisco, Portland, Boise, Salt Lake City, and Las Vegas. The whole trip went without a hitch and a great time was had by all. ...well until Nevada. Coming from Utah towards Nevada we spotted some rain and thunder storms. We enjoyed watching the lightning and a few scattered showers while on the road. As we kept along with our driving we ran low on gas and decided to pull off the road to a gas station only to find that the gas station and all its surroundings were OUT OF POWER! No Gas For Us! Some 'helpful' passers by told us that there might be a station a few miles down the road so we risked it and decided to head down to the next station. As we pulled up...No Power! At this point in time there was:
-No power
-No gas
-No services for 40mi
-Thunder
-Lightning
-Rain
-A very personable quad-toothed gas attendant
-Plenty of angry out-of-gassers
-A four to six hour wait for power
PI & I decided that this would be a perfect place to stash a cache so everyone else could see where we were stuck for what seemed like days and laugh at our misfortune. enjoy.
