The fun is not done when the Geo-Picnic ends this
year. Join us the next day for more geocaching and camaraderie at
the first ever WGA event after-party.
The 2008 WGA
Geo-Picnic After-Party will take place starting at 8:30am at
Lapham Peak State Park. We will be meeting at the small open
shelter in the Evergreen Grove picnic area, N43 02.419' W088
24.201'.
At approximately 9am we will assign temporary caches (placed for
the Geo-Picnic) for retrieval by those in attendance who wish to
help with this task. This is a great chance to go after temporary
caches you missed the day before, or at least sample a few of them
if you were unable to make it to the Geo-Picnic.
Those not seeking or retrieving caches will hang back at the base
and shoot the breeze. Taunting of the poor souls struggling on the
hilly trails to pick up the temp caches may take place on FRS
channel 7. We may ask the park for a service project these slackers
can do to keep them out of trouble.
Coffee and donuts will be provided, but you are on your own as far
as additional breakfast food.
We expect the temporary cache retrieval to be complete and the
socializing to wind down around noon.
For this event, please post your "Will Attend" log on
geocaching.com if you plan to join in the after-party fun. Also
indicate in your log whether you'd be willing to retrieve a few
temporary caches or not.
