Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series of caches throughout Ireland. Known as the "Pit-stop" series, these caches should provide a quick break from your journey and an opportunity to log a quick cache.

This cache is located at Moll's Gap, along the N71, main road between Kenmare and Killarney.

Please park either at the parking at the Avoca Cafe, or else on the side of the road, but please take care!

Personally, this is my favourite section of road in Ireland, from the Gap of Dunloe, through the Black Valley, and then from Moll's Gap to Kenmare, and even onto Glengarriff! Amazing!

You can do it too, and clock up a few cache's too if you wish. From Killarney, drive about 5km West (follow signs of N72 to Killorglin), and then turn off to the left for Gap of Dunloe. 'Dutch 4' Cache is placed in the Gap of Dunloe. After finding this cache, then follow the road up through the 'gap' and down the other side - You are entering the Black Valley. Continue until you come to Waypoint 1 (T1). It's a Y junction. Go to the right (Follow sign for Kenmare). Continue along this road. You now have the option to grab the 'Viking's Hoard' cache. From here, continue again, until you come to Waypoint 2 (T2), where you will turn left (Signs for Kenmare & Killarney). Follow this road all the way up to the main road at Waypoint 3 (T3). From here you can drive to the cache, and from there onto Kenmare and beyond!!

Although these roads are fun to drive, please take care as people live on these roads, as do sheep !! Enjoy!
