Moor Lane Book Cache (Leicestershire) Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

stu_and_sarah: Unfortunately, it has gone. It looks like the gatepost has been redone lately and the cache was probably spotted by the workers and removed.

Thanks to all past finders!

Geocache Description:

An easy cache along a public byway.

  • This cache is for swapping books and travel bugs only. Of course you can just sign the log if you have no books to swap! It should contain no other object (apart from the log, pen, pencil etc.)
  • Please do not drive up Moor Lane and annoy the locals. Get some fresh air in your lungs and walk it... it's not that far!
  • There and back trip is about 1.2 miles from the parking.

Park somewhere amongst the other cars on Empress Road at N52°46.177' W001°11.508' and take a walk up Moor Lane first through some of Loughborough's historic and now crumbling industrial past, and then into a more rural setting.

Don't be tempted to turn off onto the public footpath whatever the arrow tells you - you won't reach the cache that way!

Continue along the lane, and round the 90° right-hand bend and then follow your nose until you reach the spot. You may need gardening gloves in summer - it looks like there may be some nettles beginning to show up. The spoiler photo gives it away totally, so only look if you're stuck - it's not that tricky anyway!

Note: This cache can NOT be done as a circular route with Hey You.

Good luck!
