Solve the puzzle below to determine the actual
coordinates.
The coordinates of the cache are N 37.39.ABC W 122.29.DEF
The letters A, B, C, D, E, and F are based on the number of points
that the words in the photograph above are worth. That's not as
easy as it looks, though - some of those tiles are sitting on
top of squares that double or triple the value of a specific letter
or the whole word. But which tiles? Looking at a scrabble board
when you solve this puzzle is encouraged - unless you are
Kablooey, who is challenged to recall the locations of
the double and triple word and letter boxes from memory ;-)
Ok, on to the clues:
- A = Value of the word AIR
- B = Value of the word SIP minus the value of the word AIR
- C = Value of the word LO
- D = Value of the word AM minus the value of the word SIP
- E = Value of the word RAT
- F = Value of the word WE
The container is a small plastic jar, 3 or 4 inches in diameter,
black with a white lid. There's no pencil, so please bring your
own. After you find the cache, please make sure that you replace
the natural cover material in such a way as to keep the cache from
succumbing to gravity and rolling out of its spot. Also please
replace it lid-down. Thanks!
