How Geocaching Works
This cache is found at the Beech Hill Preserve in Rockport, Maine. From Rt 1 take South St. in Rockport (near hospital) to Beech Hill Rd. (a right) From Rt 17, get onto Rt 90 toward Rockport and turn right at the light by the Rockport Diner (Meadow). Then take a left onto South St. and then a left onto Beech Hill Rd. Parking is on the right. Please stay on the trail in the clearings. Bikes are not allowed and dogs MUST be on a leash. It tends to be windy so if that bothers you, bring a hat.
We have changed this cache to a regular size because of its popularity. We've also had to move it about six feet from the original location, but didn't think it was necessary to put in new coordinates since it was so close to the original location. This is a small plastic container. It is clear with a blue lid. Beech Hill preserve contains working organic blueberry fields that are owned by the Coastal Mountains Land Trust. Take a camera and/or binoculars because the view from the top of the hill is spectacular. Quiz: How many lighthouses can you see from the top? Look closely.
