Dardanelles II Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

The Lost Patrol: I stopped by to drop a travel bug and this one is missing. Its home is deteriorating and there is too much muggle activity. I'll wait until the woodcutting is done before I replace it.

Geocache Description:

You are looking for a small lock n' lock container in an obvious place.

Dardanelles is the site of the first Post Office in Jackson County. A monument commemorating this and the first postmaster, William G.T'Vault is about twenty-five yards southeast of the cache. I'm told the dog is friendly.
The monument was moved earlier this year from beside the freeway to this more bucolic location. Construction will begin soon at this interchange so I moved the cache from its former location. Thanks to the proprietress for permission to place the cache. I asked if she knew what geocaching was and she said "sure".
