Geocache Description:

Nice easy cache, fairly level terrain. Short Walk. Small out of the way forgotten cemetary..

Although, at the request of the caretaker, this cache is not located inside the cemetery proper, it is however located very near the back gate. Parking can be had either on the dirt road going to the cemetery, or anywhere along Lake Street in one of the several parking lots. Enjoy the walk through this very special cemetery, as the occupants were often forsaken in life being that they were challenged mentally. However, due to the noble efforts of the Glavin Center, The small non-descript stones are being replaced by personalized proper markers...

Although the road does head straight into the cemetery itself, please refrain from driving beyond the pillars at the entrance.

Having grown up literally only a couple of hundred feet from this location, I can remember walking through this area, and wondering what all the numbered stones in the ground were for. It is touching that after all of these years, these forsaken soles are finally getting the respect that they deserve.

Of course, this is hallowed ground, so respect is absolutely necessary.

Cache is a small Tupperware container. Original content of cache are- green bead necklace, Christmas candle, Yellow Play-Doh, Sport Radio,2 Sand Dollars from Maine, Smokey the bear pin, Eastern Airlines Pilot Wings pin, kiddie pinball game, Smiley tag, Heart Tag and a The Traveling Liberty TB.

Please be certain to hide cache EXACTLY as you found it.

NOTE: ALTHOUGH ALL OF THE LAND SURROUNDING THE CACHE IS OWNED BY THE GLAVIN CENTER, YOU DO NOT NEED TO ENTER THE FARMING FIELDS TO LOCATE THE CACHE. THESE FIELDS ARE RENTED TO A LOCAL FARMER TO PLANT HIS CORN. A SHORT WALK OR DRIVE SOUTH OF THE FIELDS WILL PRODUCE A DIRT ROAD WITH OPEN GATES. THIS IS THE PROPER ENTRANCE.

Enjoy this peaceful area.
