This year, we’re celebrating geocaching around the world. You’re invited to join Signal the Frog® as he travels to different countries to geocache like a local. No plane ticket required!
Signal’s first stop: Germany.
While he’s there, Signal will celebrate a local geocaching tradition called Dönerstag. To earn the Dönerstag souvenir, attend an event — anywhere in the world — on April 13, 2017. Learn more about Dönerstag.
Lots of German's emigrated to Galena IL. If you ever wondered about my last name. Its German. Actually they came from Borken West Rhine, Prussia. Germany didn't exist yet when my family left Europe in 1844.
Since it is a weeknight this event will be short.
We will get together at Culver's of Galena at 11371 Oldenburg Ln. ( first stop light on US 20.)
The event will be Thursday April 13 from 6:30 to 7:00 pm.
There is no private room so we will be in the main dining area. If it is warm we may be outside.
You don't have to buy anything to attend. I plan on getting there about 6 ish to grab a table and will have the log sheet ready at that time.
See you there!
