Koraka beach is the place where the kidnapped German commander
General Kreipe was sendt to Egypt under WW2 in 1944. The General
was kidnapped outside Hiraklion and the resistance people took him
all the way through the inland. The immediate result of this
propaganda coup was a terrible vegeance against the Cretan
population in the actual areas.
The cache is placed along the path marked from the parking place
through the tarverna area over a small plateau to the west. Take
the marked gate out from the taverna (blue sign) and follow red
dots. The plateau is a nice and quiet place, so are the beaches
westwards against Frangokastelli.
There are some tradeable stuff in the cache. A plastic bag is
around the small container./p>
