The cache is at the posted coordinates, but you must meet the challenge qualifications in order to log a find.
For this challenge you have to find all the traditional caches in an 5 mile or 8 kilometer radius close to your geocaching home location. So you don't have to find all the multis, puzzles etc. For clarity this does NOT have to be your home location, just a location from where you usually go geocaching, close to home.
Caches that require special equipment like a boat, climbing equipment etc. are excluded from this challenge. Disabled caches or caches which obviously are not there based on the logs are excluded. Just find the active traditional caches. If you believe a cache is inactive or needs special equipment, post a note with your qualifying log or send me an email. You don’t have to find premium caches for the challenge either because they are not accessible to everyone.
Post a screenshot showing the nearest traditional cache at least 5 miles away in order to qualify.
There are a few ways to do this. Probably easiest is to search
- nearby caches of this type that I haven’t found –
from the cache page of a traditional geocache near your home coordinates.
You are welcome to post a note as soon as you qualify with your screen shot as soon as you qualify to lock yourself in. No sense in trying to chase a moving target. Or you can find the final first and log your find with a note before you qualify.
The difficulty rating is for the challenge. the final is 2D/2.5T.
