Geocache Description:

A small Lock&Lock hidden at a sweeping view. The last stretch of the hike (from the nothch) is a faint trail or bushwhack up a steep slope; but well worth the effort.

See GC212RB Cutlers Dilithium Crystal, for an alternate access to the ledges. This cache is just past the true summit of Mt. Cutler. And oh, yet another rocky ledge is viewed ahead for another day.

Hike the red trail (Barnes then Ridge Walk) all the way to the notch. Turn left for just a bit and there are cairns on the right leading up the steep slope. We didn't see these cairns and bushwhacked up, but followed them on the way down. With all the oak leaves on the trail, we were mostly choosing to slide down on our butts....even though we had walking sticks...it is that steep. So, come prepared and have a marvelous adventure. Great views of Burnt Meadow Mt, and the Presidentials in the distance...looking a bit insignificant.
