Geocache Description:

Easy terrain within city limits.

This is the fourth in a series of caches I have placed in a circuit through Dodge County. I have researched and studied these cemetaries for interest and sometimes a little history lesson will be had along the way.

Cemetaries hold a great wealth of potential for the geocaching public. I hope that my series will inspire you and get you thinking about life, death, traditions, honor, sadness, beauty, nature, and craftsmanship.

The WSQ indication is in the title to let you know that this is a special Wisconsin Spirit Quest cache. This tells you the cache is located in a cemetary. A higher level of reverance and care is required when searching for these caches. Please be considerate of mourners and monuments. This cache is not placed near any gravesite. Enjoy the hunt. The caches in the series can be done in any order or started in order at any place. Chronological order will get you the best gas mileage.

The listed coordinates get you to the general location of this cemetary. Hillside is a large city cemetary with a wide variety of memorials: modern and much older. Chosing the middle driveway will take you near a memorial that commemorates those on the planning board of the cemetary back in 1940.

To find this cache you will need to gather some general information regarding this cememtary.

First: The number of roads that allow entrance from the main road x 3 - 4 = A.

Second: The number of memorial chapels + 923 = B.

Third: The number of metal letters in the main brick marker for the cemetary = C.

Final: N43 A.B W89 00.C48

Note that in the vicinity of this cache is a beautiful memorial to a family who lost four of their children in a house fire in 1970. Note the care and love given to this marker. Also near this area is the marker for a woman I once knew who has the same last name as myself but without relation to me. She was a unique, fiesty lady and I have great memories of her in my time as her social worker. Enjoy the beauty of this diverse location.
