Geocache Description:


Many Down East geocachers have started using some "hi-tech" tools to enhance their geocaching experience. One tool that is highly recommended by some of veteran geocachers is a software program named GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).

This seminar is being offered to give interested geocachers an overview of the GSAK program and to show them how it works. Kenny of the horsegeeks and billwolf1 will be the presenters and the session promises to be fun and informative. It will be geared to the beginning and intermediate GSAK users, but geocachers who don't even own the program may find it useful.

Premium Members who attend the event should bring their My Finds Pocket Query with them for an opportunity to learn how to use a "really neat" macro.

The event will be held at the Johnston County Schools Central Services Building in Smithfield, NC and will begin at 6:00 PM. Wireless Internet access will be available and attendees are encouraged to bring their laptop computers.

The Eastern North Carolina PREMIERE of GeoWoodstock V - The Movie will also be shown at some point during the evening.

A FREE registration for the GSAK program and registration for a program named CacheMate that runs on a Palm or a Pocket PC will be awarded as door prizes to two (2) lucky attendees.
