jfigel: Went out on this cloudy day to get the container. Did not have any cash, so I used coins to enter the park. . Casey was in the car, so were in the wrong from the start. Cache needs too much maintenance. Besides, my dog Casey loves to tag along geocaching with me, and dogs are not allowed in State parks.
Retrieved the container with no problem. Thanks to all who found it. For those who did not...it was near that tree with the huge hole in it. On the ground, under a small root. The idea of the cache was to get you to go to the tree with the large hole and not see it, but see it nearby (about 10 ft). I originally found this container by sure luck with about 6 inches of snow on the ground. I was looking for a hand hold and found plastic. Had a great time. Loved the cache so much, I adopted it. Container was intact. I was clearing the small stones away, and one when down the hill hitting the blue bell sign which is the clue!! A teriffic ending to a dreary day.
One ways you can tell a cache is good is by the number of watchers. There area still 8 of you. I have no idea who you are, but I like it when people watch my caches. Shows I doing something right (or madly wrong)!!
The area is pretty badly erroded and could use a rest from searching. Maybe I will return the cache someday, maybe not. Currently, I am working on some other caches.
