This cache is located just outside the fence of Newberg Fire Station 21. Newberg Fire Department was established 1898 and Station 21 with its training tower was built in 1995. Newberg Fire Department is a combination department with both volunteer and career members.
The department regularly holds fire drill on Monday nights to keep their life saving skill sharp, you may be lucky to see them out training while grabbing this cache.
In 2017, TVF&R took over from NFD and is the current fire agency for the City of Newberg.
Be Fire Safe, be sure to check your smoke alarms and practice your escape plan.
This cache was part of the 2012 Newberg Old Fashioned Festival Coin Challenge.
