I went to repair the cache this morning Sat. 17th August
after reports that it was in a poor state of health, since my last visit , there are now a lot of signs telling you to KEEP to the footpath , The area has been taken over by English Heritage as a reserve, so I decided to remove the cache box and make this a virtual cache. From the co-ordinates given, you can walk along the lenth of the dam and then come down the southern side and view the falls , which are about 300 metres down stream and best viewed from the northern side of the river, A road takes you there, to claim a log I need you to email me the answer to these questions.
1. WHAT LENTH IS THE DAM IN FEET.?
2. WHAT IS THE AREA COVERED ( IN ACRES) BY THE RESERVOIR?
3. you will also find who opened the dam,
WHO WAS IT?
SAFETY WARNING: The rocks and grass near the falls can be very slippy so please take care, if you have Youngsters with you keep eye on them and dont let them wander ahead
