Cannonball Days...Better Luck in the next life! PART ONE of Maux Faux's Tour of Duty.
This mini cache is dedicated to all those from Whyalla who served in the major conflicts of the 20th century. The memorials here preserve the memory of their sacrifice.
When locating this cache, take the time to read the honour rolls and information board, as well as to admire the descendant of Gallipoli’s original Lone Pine.
You will also notice when reading the honour rolls, that many of Whyalla’s names come from those who fell.

The cache is a 200ml camo sistema clip top box, is well hidden and please ensure you return it to its well hidden spot after you have found it. The original contents include relevant commemorative Australian $1, 50c and 20c pieces, a couple of German Euro coins, an English 5p piece, a .303 shell casing, a small frog and a red humanity wristband. Please keep the theme of the swaps if you can and keep them small.

This is a fairly public place so some stealth may be required. Taking the kids along is a good cover ploy!

After 2 x DNF's in a row and the mercury climbing to 42C we were thinking a potential nano in a war monument was not a good choice for next. However upon reading the cache info we were overjoyed to find we were looking for a small container - which the geokids made short work of. Thankyou for organising the cache. The oval looks in great nick for this time of year. Cheers!

A Little bit hot, 43 degrees, did not stop us, a little put off with the clue, however a bit more time at it, and we located the cache, TNLN TFTHSL.
