Geocache Description:

[8] An unknown picture near an unknown building in Stockholm Kungsholmen

2006-08-16 This cache is changed to Virtual. The place is worth visiting. To log the cache submit a picture of the GPS and a slice from the wall as background.

At place you can see an art-work called the "Gardenparty" (Parkfesten) made by a group called "Bildgruppen Katten" (Imagegroup The Cat) who made this the year of 1961 and this year you can see on the right side of the big wall.

Its also worth to visit the little nearby park at the coordinates N59 19.700 E018 02.435
On this place the Military Cavalry was placed from 1793 but was later moved to the quarters of "Storgatan" in "Östermalm"The Military Hopital "Garnisionssjukhuset" was built 1817-1834 and was at that time the biggest in Scandinavia. It was measured to cost 160000 Swedish crowns(10.000 pounds or 20.000 dollars) but the costs was more than doubled.
The architect CC Gjörwell also earlier designed the hospital "Löwenströmska lasarettet" and in Haga the Echo Temple("Ekotemplet") and the Queens Pavilion ("Drottningens Paviljong").
In 1930 it was decided to put an end to the medical care but it was kept for sexdiseases, but in 1969 there were no more nursing here. The city of Stockholm was now the owner and in 1971 The County Counsil("Landstinget") moved in and is still here.

At mural place its hard for the GPS so try the hint.
