The Wombles: This cache has clearly been compromised and we're not about to encourage anyone to leave travel bugs here since their safety is at risk.

Geocache Description:

This cache is intended to allow travellers to drop off and pick up Travel Bugs intended for another country. It is also a traditional cache convienient for visitors to the National Exhibition Centre (or simply driving along the M42). If you need to make a rapid visit because of flight connections then you should decode the clue.

This cache is part of the Bug Hotel series at key airports to allow Travel Bugs to be easily exchanged close to the airport.

Given the proximity to the National Exhibition Centre, we have also included a number of smaller items for exchange - please don't leave large exchange items here, the space is intended for Travel Bugs.

We suggest that you park at N52°26.574' and W01°45.809'. The area is a parkland adjacent to a church. You could walk from the airport (there is a footpath straight across the fields) but it would be about a mile of mud. The access road is adjacent to the Land Rover factory roundabout (its a small sharp turning so don't miss it).

An Ordnance Survey map for this location is available at this web site.

The cache is hidden behind the branches of a tree which is on the edge of the treeline. We suggest that you walk along the grass beside the trees to maintain the GPS signal. The cache is a large ammo box. There is a clue below on where it is hidden in the tree; decode this is if you want to be sure of finding it.

There is a logbook and pencil. Please record the name and objective of any Travel Bugs that you leave here. Please try to update this site and the travel bug site as quickly as possible to avoid other disappointed visitors. Please leave spare bags at the cache. There is space for several large bugs.

If you return for a second visit to deposit more bugs, please post the visit (and the bug) as a "note" not a "find".

Remember that security is your responsibility - assure yourself of the safety of any particular item before carrying it.
