From the summit, there are great views to the north, the south and the west. During the millennium celebrations, this was one of the numerous places aroud the country where celebratory signal bonfires were lit. The area is popular with the hanggliding community, and there's a jumpoff ramp at the summit.
Get there on the E6 and exit at "Furnes veikryss" N60° 50.520 E011° 03.000 towards Høsbjør and on to Hotel Norge Høsbjør. Parking available at the hotel. From here, a good path will take you the 850 meters to the summit and the cache.
The hotel itself is worth a visit. The present owners have put an end to decades of steady decay and turned the place into an elegant accommodation. Its location, high above Hedmark province, makes it even more special. During the 1994 winter Olympics in Lillehammer, the several VIPs would hang out here. There's a very nice viewpoint 100 meters east of the hotel.
The cache is a spacious army food container, hanging in a spruce. It contains stashnote, logbook and some trading stuff. 100% winter proof.
