Following the waypoint to the
cache, you will find yourself around the perimeter of a long-abandoned part of
New York's aviation history.
The weedy green yonder that
surrounds this cache was once a vibrant and vital resource for early aviators.
It was still in limited use up
until as recently as the early 1980's. Once you find the cache, discreetly
remove it, and find a seat nearby, or open it in your car.
The cache is halfway between
being considered a micro and a traditional. I like to call it a "mini".
This
super-rugged container has two sides which can be opened. To unlock it, merely
turn the screw knobs counter-clockwise on either end until the container opens.
The initial cache contains: a
logbook, two pens, a mini-first aid kit, a keychain lanyard, a WG$, a creepy
rubber spider, and some pocket change, and one or two other little
trinkets
Please be sure to sign the log, take something, leave something and be
sure to seal and re-lock the container properly. (the reverse method of opening
it).
And as always, please return it
to it's hiding spot discreetly, as there are occasional passerby. All finders of
this cache will receive a bonus of where they can find more information on this
semi-historical site!
Don't read the hint!
